Cowboy Culture

Posted on by

The cowboy has long represented the ideal of being American.  The identity of the American cowboy creates a separate culture through symbolism and characteristics celebrated during the Round Up by authentic working cowboys and many fans of the culture who desperately want to belong.  Hallways are filled with the jangle of spurs.  Baseball caps are replaced by tall, broad Stetsons.  The air resounds with the twang of western accents and words that could sound strange to those not associated with the cowboy culture: bronc, heading, heeling, cinch, brand, and many more.
